Last month, Club Carlson announced their “Big Night Giveaway” promotion to celebrate the opening of their new Radisson Blu Aqua hotel in Chicago. According to the promotion terms, you must first register here and be one of the first 50,000 people to register. Then you must stay at a Radisson property in the U.S., Canada, or the Caribbean under a qualifying rate (I believe any rate that will earn points qualifies, even cheap advanced purchase rates) before December 31, 2011. If you check in on December 30, you will still qualify. If you stay at a cheaper property like Park Inn, you will only earn 15,000 points.
50,000 points seems to be worth at the very least $200 – $300. You could redeem 50K points at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in Sydney, Australia, which would otherwise cost $300/night.
From what I’ve read online, the promotion seems to still be open for the 50K point bonus. If you see the 50K point offer on the landing page, then you will qualify.
I’m planning to do an $85 night at the Radisson LAX later this month and I’ll keep you posted on my status. From what I’ve read, it takes less than a week for the points to post!
