Earn a Free Night from Wyndham Rewards After Just One Stay!

Right now Wyndham has a promotion running where you can earn 16,000 bonus points, enough for a free night at any property up to tier 4. Here is their redemption list.

All that’s required to earn the 16,000 Wyndham Rewards points is you have to stay one night at one of the featured properties found on this page. Some of the properties are actually pretty cheap, so you could stay at the Hawthorn Suites Chicago-Hoffman Estates for only $59.99 if you time it right. This would translate into paying 0.375 cents/point.

The great thing about Wyndham’s program is obviously not their properties, but the fact that you can transfer points to airline miles at a favorable rate. You can transfer Wyndham points to miles in the top airline legacy carrier programs at a ratio of 8,000 points = 3,200 miles. If you assume you paid $60 for a little over 6,400 miles, you paid less than 1 cent per mile. I can guarantee you that Wyndham buys these miles for more than a cent per mile, so you are doing pretty darn well at this rate.

It’s worth noting that you can also transfer 8,000 miles to 2,400 southwest points. Southwest Rapid Rewards points are worth 1.67 cents per point if redeemed for “Wanna Get Away Fares,” so you are getting about $80 in value toward Southwest fares for only $59.99 + tax. Even more, these point transfers count toward the Southwest companion pass status, which is a great way to top off your account and get closer to qualifying for companion status.

Hurry because this offer ends on October 6th. Also, make sure you go through this page to reserve your hotel. Finally, this bonus is limited to only three per account.
