One of my favorite parts of flying besides sitting in first class on an international flight is when you happen to be flying during a big football game and all the sports fans are clamoring for the score after being connectionless for hours (hopefully that won’t be the case for much longer with most airlines implementing in-flight WiFi). Almost certainly, the pilot will be sympathetic to the information starved passengers and announce the score over the intercom, which will be meet with boos or cheers depending on the city you are flying to.
In my mind nothing is more entertaining than the intersection of sports and travel. I recently came across this blog post on Shutdown Corner where some United employees at Denver International Airport had some fun with Steelers fans traveling back to Pittsburgh. I know it’s low, but damn it’s funny!
